Gate access is available from 7:00 am to 9:00 pm daily, including holidays.
What sizes of units do you offer?
We offer multiple unit sizes including 5’×5’, 5’×10’, 10’×10’, 10’×16’, 10’×21’, and 10’×29’, with other sizes available depending on current occupancy/vacancy.
What can a given size unit hold?
• 5’×5’: Small furniture: a chest of drawers, several boxes and other small items.
• 5’×10’: Furniture or appliances, or boxes, totes, or bins.
• 10’×10’: Furnishings from a one-bedroom apartment with a refrigerator or washer and dryer, plus boxes, totes, or bins.
• 10’×16’: Furnishings and appliances from a small house or two-bedroom apartment plus boxes, totes, or bins.
• 10’×21’: Furnishings and appliances from a house. Or will fit a car, truck, or boat.
• 10’×29’: Furnishings from a large house with appliances. Or will fit a car, truck, or boat.
How do I choose the right size unit for my items?
We recommend making an inventory list, measuring large items, and choosing a unit with enough space for storage plus walking access. If you still need help, our staff can offer advice.
Do you offer commercial or business storage?
Yes. We provide commercial storage units for inventory, equipment, records, and more.
Do you have climate-controlled units?
No.
Is drive-up access available?
Yes. Many of our units feature convenient drive-up access. Others are located in interior hallways.
What items are prohibited from storage?
Hazardous materials, perishable food, illegal items, and live animals are not permitted.
How secure is the facility?
Our facility is protected with 24/7 video surveillance and is fully fenced with electronic gated access, requiring personalized entry codes. Bright lighting ensures visibility throughout the property, and our staff performs daily security inspections - checking every door, every lock, every day for your peace of mind.
Is the facility fenced?
Yes. The property is fully fenced with secure gated access.
How clean and maintained are the units?
Our facility is clean, well-maintained, and regularly inspected.
How do I rent a storage unit?
You can call us at 937-866-1255 or email us at southtownselfstorage@gmail.com. You can visit our office to complete the rental paperwork then move in- all in the same day.
Can I move in on the same day I complete the paperwork? Do I have to move in the same day?
Yes. Same-day move-in is available but not mandatory.
Is there a minimum lease or long-term contract?
No. We offer flexible month-to-month rentals with no long-term commitment.
Are there any fees or hidden charges?
There are a few standard fees—but never any hidden charges. A refundable security deposit is required (amount varies by unit size), along with a one-time $5 administration fee. If you decide to transfer to a different unit later, there’s a $5 transfer fee. We review all costs upfront, so you’ll know exactly what to expect—no surprises!
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept cash, checks, or money orders. We do not accept credit or debit cards.
If I mail my payment, will there be delays or issues?
Yes, at this time delays can occur. Due to extended United SPS delivery times, mailed payments may take longer to reach us. We recommend sending your payment early to avoid any potential late fees.
